What Is a Lint Free Wipe?

Lint free wipes are built to do one job: clean a surface without adding fiber or particulate back onto it. JAS PURE 100% is Jashmineunitech’s standard lint free wipe, made from 100% continuous-filament polyester in a flat weave — the everyday cleanroom wipe you reach for when the task needs to be clean, not when it needs a specialty weave pattern.

Why Continuous-Filament Polyester Actually Matters

Here’s what most buyers don’t get told: the thing that determines whether a wipe stays lint free isn’t the brand or the packaging. It’s whether the fiber is continuous or chopped.

Cheaper wipes are often made from short, staple fibers bound together — every cut edge and every fold is a place where a loose fiber end can break free. Continuous filament runs in one unbroken strand through the whole wipe. There’s nothing loose to shed in the first place. It also means the material holds up evenly under solvent — no thin spots, no tearing where the fibers were weakest.

You won’t see this on a glossy brochure. You’ll see it in your particle count numbers after a shift.

How’s This Different from a Regular Wipe?

Short version: a regular wipe moves the mess around and leaves its own fiber behind. A proper lint free wipe doesn’t.

Cloth and paper towels shed at every fold and every pass across a surface — that’s just how they’re made. JAS PURE 100%’s continuous-filament construction has no loose ends to give up, holds its absorbency evenly instead of thinning out under solvent, and it’s priced below our dot-weave line since it’s not built for the specialty particle-channeling that dot weaves handle. If your process doesn’t need that, this is the wipe that gets the job done without the extra cost.

Handling Notes

Keep it sealed until you’re ready to use it — a lint free wipe sitting out exposed to ambient particulate defeats the purpose before it even touches a surface. Don’t carry the same wipe across different zones or steps; contamination travels with the wipe. If you’re autoclaving before use, check this specific grade’s temperature rating rather than assuming it matches other polyester products you’ve used. And if it’s touched solvents or biologicals, it goes through your controlled-waste process, not general trash.
